Chances are, you do. Like most products, websites can cost a little or a lot, depending…. Many individuals just getting started waste a lot of time with “simple” DIY solutions and end up with headaches and useless sites. A professional website (not just one that looks slick or fancy, but one that works well, lasts a long time, and serves your business goals) will cost a minimum of a few thousand dollars, but most of my clients find the investment well worth it.
Sure. I can usually do a close approximation of the look and feel of your site, but with improved usability, or I can do a full-on redesign. I’ll generally advise on strategies for modernizing, but for many features, my philosophy is “if it aint broke, don’t fix it.”
Most “static” pages (with relatively constant content) are built with simple blocks, requiring a very small learning curve; but once you’ve got that down, you’re golden. I specialize in building sites with unique content modules and making them completely updatable for non-technical users. Think recipes, classes, events, news items — anything where the pieces change or grow and you want to have control over how and when they appear on your site.
