California Coast Music Camp
Client: California Coast Music Camp
Project Brief:
The Board at CCMC came to me with an outdated site that needed a re-design and some functional brushing up to tighten up registrations for their summer camps and winter retreat, and their donations system. The site showcases each year’s classes, the teachers, other year-round events, and a photo gallery for each year’s camp.
Working beside camper and amazing designer Sara Glaser, we re-designed the site, and re-structured the data entry for classes and teachers to ensure that their non-technical staff could easily update each year going forward.
Though I still keep and eye on things and do updates, I am happy that the Board and Staff feel empowered to take ownership of these site functions.
“We had a great experience working with Allison to redesign the website for California Coast Music Camp, a non-profit that inspires people to bring music making into their lives and communities through educational and related activities.
We moved from a barely functioning 20-year-old website to one that not only works extremely well but is consistent in promoting our values and our brand. Allison helped us turn our ideas into reality, often making them better, and providing technical and design expertise to ensure a great design and a seamless user experience.
Allison was super easy to work with, a great communicator and also very flexible. She also has worked with many non-profits before and understands the ‘language’ of non-profits and the constraints they face. We will continue to work with Allison as our needs expand and also to make sure that no technical gotchas catch us unawares. Get her on your web development and design team! You will be happy that you did!
David Lehr, Board President”
